Planning & Scheduling Basics – 1 Day

This one-day course is designed as either a refresher for those who engage in these practices regularly, or as an introductory course for those with little or no background in Planning & Scheduling. It is also ideally suited as a course for new managers and supervisors. This course presents how a plan (scope) is developed and a subsequent schedule is prepared. It teaches the basic logic links between activities, calculations for early and late starts and finishes, and identification of the critical path and concepts of float. The course also shows how to use the schedule as a communication tool and collect progress against the plan.
Accompanying the course is a workbook on planning principles and sample scheduling problems with completed networks and solutions. A list of text references is also provided.
